Supported TOML Subset

Parsing

  • Tables [table], dotted [a.b.c], and arrays of tables [[array]]
  • Basic, literal, and multiline strings (including line-ending backslash)
  • Integers with underscores, hex (0x), octal (0o), and binary (0b)
  • Floats with exponents, inf/nan, booleans, datetimes (kept as strings)
  • Multiline arrays with comments, inline tables, dotted keys

Emitting

  • Scalar keys first, then table sections, then arrays of tables
  • Arrays of objects become [[array-of-tables]]; mixed arrays stay inline
  • Null values are skipped (TOML has no null); non-table roots are wrapped under a value key
  • YAML support reuses the YAML Formatter parser, so both stay consistent
